Our Focus

Strengthening Policies and Institutions

Reducing barriers and risks for investors by strengthening policy frameworks for sustainable investments.

At UNDP, we understand that strengthening policies and institutions is essential for reducing barriers and risks for investors. We work with governments and institutions to help create robust policy frameworks that promote sustainable investments.

By addressing issues such as policy barriers, regulatory reforms, and capacity building, we help develop an environment where sustainable investments can thrive, contributing to the achievement of the SDGs.

The Private Finance for the SDGs services help form the backbone of financing strategies within Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs). Achieving these priorities outlined in national sustainable development strategies requires significant private sector engagement, including increased long-term private investments and the alignment of business practices with sustainable development principles.
